Three big takes:
Slate’s John Dickerson
Obama laid out a jobs plan whose elements have been supported by Republicans in the past. If they block it, he threatened to lambaste them all the way to the 2012 voting booth for putting politics over jobs creation. The public is basically behind the president on this, so Republicans haven’t been quick to dismiss the plan. We’ll see what transpires.
