Very happy to see that these three men have now been freed.

Arkansas did not exactly cover itself in glory, however. The three were offered an “Alford Plea” wherein they plead guilty to a lesser charge while simultaneously maintaining their innocence. THAT I have never heard of. Talk about butt-covering by the prosecutor, etc. Shameful. And believe it: if the prosecutor had a leg to stand on, these guys would not be walking free. That never, ever, happens. If they were going to let the guys go, let them go – without all the shenanigans.

Still, they are free.
