This film is exceptional and you should watch it.
I don’t remember the Apollo (Moon-landing) program, except vicariously through the clips and such. I grew up with the Space Shuttle program, which ended on July 21, 2011, with the final landing of the Atlantis. My kids will only know it through video like this.
I hope there is something bigger and better (Mars!?) on the horizon for them. I grimace a lot when thinking of the national and international conditions under which our space program must now move forward, but one can hope. It would be money well spent – better spent than in some other ways money is being squandered now.
Watch in as high def as possible. Film by Dave Holloway, Adam Rutherford. Edited by Charlotte Stoddart.
