NATO Closer to Libya No-Fly Zone; Alien Microbes?
CNN reports NATO now conducting 24/7 surveillance flights “of” Libya or “over” Libya, depending on whether you read the article or the sidebar highlights.
I suspect this means flights along the coast over international waters. Entering foreign airspace for anything other than a permitted purpose would be considered an act of war, and neither NATO nor anyone else have gone that far yet.
In other news, a claim of fossilized alien microbes in a meteorite sample – and the critical response thereto – are examined by astronomer Phil Plait at his Bad Astronomy blog, here. More on this later possibly, if there is any more to report.
Back from travel, and regular blogging will resume.
